Our aim to build the best website we can
After several months (that probably felt like several years to those involved!) of dedication and hard work, we’re thrilled to officially announce the launch of our new website. Our visions here at RL are getting bigger and bolder every year. Naturally, our website needed to adapt.
The new site coincides with our expanding offering as we launch into the corporate and hospitality market – the journey of which started back in 2016 (see our previous post on the amazing Jim Wright, designer of our new contract range).
The website boasts a clean design and intuitive, consistent navigation which directs you to the information most relevant to you, whether you’re in retail and looking to collaborate, or you’re wanting to browse our new contract range. It’s also fully responsive on mobile, making it super simple to navigate on the move.
We didn’t just create a site we’d like to use; as always, our clients’ feedback is so important to us, so we picked the brains of our current corporate and hospitality clients to get an idea of the functionality they really loved on other sites. This meant we could create a website that really ticks all their boxes.
When I say we, I’m referring to the very clever and creative Steve James at Fount UK, who brought an incredible team together to design and build the website, which he managed from conception to completion. And we couldn’t be more delighted with the result.

You may have also noticed our fab new photography – it’s all thanks to Pete and his wife Amanda, owners of Viewpoint Photography in Bath. Pete’s a good friend and was extremely generous with his time and studio space. We’re so chuffed with our new product page shots and would love to hear your thoughts.
The words ‘chicken’ and ‘headless’ spring to mind when reflecting on the first half of 2018 – with the launch of our journal, current renovations on our reception space, new website, new product range and preparing for Clerkenwell Design Week, you could say we’ve had the odd sleepless night. But it’s all exciting stuff, and we’re super proud of our product range and website, both of which we hope to grow over the coming months and years. We plan on building our offering to include compact chairs, flexible modular, sofa beds and sofa ranges to target the corporate and hospitality market.
Thanks to all the team who have supported, inspired and encouraged us along the way and for those who came to see us at Clerkenwell. It’s a cliché, but we really couldn’t have done it without you.
I’m hoping those grey hairs I’ve spotted recently will all be worth it…
