Manchester’s newest neighbourhood is exciting and aesthetic, and this has been mirrored in the design – everything is contemporary, fresh, and bold.
Kampus is a millennial paradise. Built on an appreciation of independent eateries, small retailers, green space, and beautiful, contemporary design, it is a haven for young professionals.

Kampus pulls inspiration from Dutch design, and American experience, to create something completely new to Manchester, while still complimenting the quirky neighbouring village of Canal Street. Steeped in local history, Kampus nods to the legacy of local legend (Roger Ayton) who once owned the land, and the regeneration of the historic building, which was once home to Manchester Metropolitan University.
The designers have retained the classical industrial feel of central Manchester, and added some contemporary dutch influence, and all the things young professionals enjoy most – their secluded gardens look more typical of Bali than northern England, the whole place is buzzing with small, fashionable bars and restaurants, and all 500 apartments have a youthful, stylish look and feel
Statement pieces in neutral tones
Manchester’s newest neighbourhood is exciting and aesthetic, and this has been mirrored in the design – everything is contemporary, fresh, and bold. Roger Lewis bespoke leather headboards and modular sofas in dark, neutral colours add a sophisticated depth to the apartments, offset with leafy houseplants and clean white fittings.
Roger Lewis bespoke pieces are a fantastic way to achieve design excellence, at the volume needed to fit the project. By working directly with interior designers, we are able to create high-quality furniture, like the leather headboards and modular sofas used at Kampus and manufacture them in the UK.
