KYOTO IS HERE!

OUR NEW COLLECTION PUTS THE ‘SOUL’ BACK INTO CONTRACT FURNITURE

With the boundaries between commercial and residential interiors becoming increasingly blurred, our new Kyoto range fuses the best attributes of both sectors.

Utilising our wealth of experience in creating residential furniture, we’ve combined a contemporary design with the functionality required for the contract furniture market. The result? A beautiful collection that is comfortable, stylish and durable.

Kyoto is the brainchild of our collaborator – up-and-coming British designer, Richard Jones

Richard was inspired by the smooth lines of a vintage pin cushion, and worked in partnership with our design director, Nick.

“I wanted to take the strengths that Roger Lewis is known for, such as fine-tailoring and enduring timelessness, and repackage them within a form that would stand up to the demands of a contract environment,” Richard explains.

“We didn’t want to create a product that felt like a traditional contract piece of furniture, we wanted a piece you’d be happy to have in your home.”

Kyoto also sees the expansion of our product portfolio. The collection includes the very first Roger Lewis bar stools, tables and privacy sofas to allow for ultimate creativity in interiors projects.

“When I first saw the designs for the Kyoto range, I thought they definitely had the Roger Lewis ‘handwriting’,” says Nick, our design director.

“The collection offers something different to your standard contract furniture, with its softness and ‘uniqueness’ of design.”

After such a positive reaction at Clerkenwell Design Week, we are thrilled to unveil the full collection. The design reflects our shift in market and symbolises our increasingly outward looking approach, while still maintaining all the quality and individuality that Roger Lewis products are renowned for.
