Bespoke Made Easy

Bespoke furniture does not have to be convoluted to design or expensive to buy. When our clients have a requirement that ours and other brands cannot solve we use our design and manufacture capabilities to hit the brief, quickly and effectively.

Our starting point can be rough guidelines on target price, volume, dimensions, functionality and broad brush aesthetics, or clients can deliver CAD working drawings for us to specifically execute on. Either is fine by us!

Throughout the bespoke process, open communication with our client is key to ensure that the final outcome aligns with the client’s vision and requirements. Customization, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are key principles in delivering a successful bespoke product or service.

The steps below give a rough overview of how we can work to deliver on these briefs

STEP ONE

Scope

  • The process begins with an initial meeting where the needs, preferences, and specific requirements are outlined and expectation is aligned
  • We will gain a comprehensive understanding of the project expectation, design preferences, budget, and timeline.
  • A working brief will be submitted for approval.
  • A project plan will be developed detailing all known milestones.

STEP TWO

Conceptual Work

  • Where required, we will take the conceptual designs and engineer the components that make up the product using Solidworks.
  • Value engineering will take place along with a collaborative approach with our supplier network.
  • Material selection to ensure structural integrity and price point are ensured.

STEP THREE

Design Approval

  • Render submitted.
  • Initial technical proposals (design and materials etc..) are submitted for client feedback.
  • Changes or modifications can be requested to ensure that the design aligns with the vision and requirements.
  • This step involves a back-and-forth collaboration with our client to refine the design until it meets the expectations.

STEP FOUR

Sample Construction

  • Once the design has been finalised and approved in the ‘first stage approval’ we begin creating a physical or functional sample of the bespoke product. This step is crucial as it allows the client to assess the quality, materials, and functionality of the product.

STEP FIVE

Sample Approval

  • A gold sealed sample is presented either on site or delivered to our client for approval.
  • The client will evaluate the sample and confirm whether it meets expectations and requirements. Factors such as quality, fit, finish, functionality, and overall satisfaction will be considered.
  • If the client is satisfied the sample will be formal approved to proceed with production. If not, further adjustments or refinements may be required.

STEP SIX

Production

  • Once the sample is approved, we proceed with full-scale production. The starting point is a project Kick Off Meeting that we run internally to plan the remaining phases and associated critical paths.
  • This includes a pre-production phase to integrate the product into our manufacturing processes and on board our team. Definition of technical specifications, production phasing and delivery & installation phasing and requirements.
  • The production phase may vary in duration depending on the complexity of the project and the type of product or service being created.
  • Production can be split across multiple phases depending on the installation requirements and timescales.
  • Quality control and regular communication with the you may continue during the production phase to ensure that the final product meets the agreed-upon standards.

STEP SEVEN

Delivery & Installation

  • At this step we are able to support our clients with product being collected from our factory, us delivering to their distribution centre, delivery to site or our team being on site to execute on any installation requirements.
  • The logistics on this are pre-agreed at the start of the project but as with all projects, timescales and requirements change. We work to accommodate wherever possible.
  • Whichever service we offer at this stage, we ensure there is a definitive sign off process to ensure our clients are happy with what we have done.

STEP EIGHT

Project Review

  • It is easy to miss this final step which is often the most critical to learn from.
  • Once a project is completed, we like to review the successes and challenges associated with the entire process. We aim to do this with our clients, as well as internally within our team.
  • This is the point of celebration or reflection and improvement,
  • We hope you join us on this journey.
